Today, I’ve been working on a couple of things.

First of all, I extended the text system of the game. I added a couple of Formatting Codes that allow you to style text in different fun ways. Additionally to the colors that were there before, you can now make your text underlined, bold, strikethrough and italics.
Those are the really basic codes though… there’s also some more fun ones I added. Take a look!

This is definitely my favorite. It makes the text go all crazy and random instead of displaying its actual characters.

There’s also upside down text, because.. why not?

You can also combine all these formatting codes with the already existing color codes. So you could create something like this…

These were kind of a pain for me to implement personally, but I am much happier with these trees than with the ones I had in the old version of the game.
I actually really suck at Math related to terrain generation, but this was actually quite fun to implement! It took a pretty long time, to be fair, but they all work and they also generate exactly the same trees when you generate a new world with the same seed – a task that is, even though it might not seem like it, actually kind of complicated.
